All EMGs are now mandated into the office 4 days a week. If they are remote, they are mandated to be at AN office for 10 days a month, yet, USAA has banned all travel for 2023. Plus, there are tons of rumors flying around they are about to force a 5 day work week due to the volume of people not complying with the RTO mandate. What is wrong with the company? Can the C suite be any stupider and inept?

Why do we even care about these poor babies having to come in? They are fatly compensated with fat bonuses on our backs.
The could give two sh--s about making sure their people (who do the work) that our pay is right. They operate off of their "gut" and what they think the rules are or what some id--t compensation advisor suggests to them. They aren't advocating for us. They think "well when I was a Junior I made 3 sticks an hour". You also bought your mansion for $40k and have a beach house and lake house. Now you make 300-600k/year plus bonuses that could double that or more. And LMAO the C-Suite just eating their cake.
That being said, let them fire the remote EMG and hold EMG's feet to the fire and make them come in 4 or 5 times a week.
Good. I hope all EMG are required to be on-site ONLY and all remote EMG are terminated. Give them a taste of their own medicine. Lets also run reports on them and if they aren't in office every one of those 5 days write them up for performance.
Where is the June date coming from?
It won’t be layoffs. They are going to use mid year check-ins as a way to evidence people not meeting expectations and not pay out severance. I was in a meeting this week, and in our org of ~400 people we have to identify 80-100 people to let go end of June. Other parts of bank are being asked to do the same. And all “for cause” (not pay severance).
Take notice of how there’s almost no internal job postings for risk & compliance.
More layoffs coming end of June.
You’ll notice managers are encouraging JAR’s for hybrid employees to stay remote. Don’t fall for it. JAR is not the same as FMLA and will not protect you.
If you are near and office (60 miles or less) just go in 3 days a week.
I know it’s not the popular thing to say on here, but if you want to keep your job, just do it. Cannot stress this enough.
Buckle up. And there’s plenty of d-mb travel occurring. An entire team is traveling next week for entire week to meet on how to have meetings. Lmao. Good job risk advisory & your amazing leadership. Stuff like this is why entire teams get laid off.
All travel isn’t banned for the rest of the year.
The rest of this is factual.
More pressure for all remote employees will get applied through rest of year (no job postings, no promotions, lack of pay raises, they’ll be re-orged into teams that get laid off in Q3).
Executive Management Group - EMG
It applies to all CoSAs
Left because of their 180 on hybrid policy. Decided if I’m gonna have to go in 3 days a week I’ll take the 40% pay increase and just do it at another banks. Looks like I made the right decision. All these companies are completely out of touch with what is best for employees.
What is EmG? Does this apply to PnC IT as well ?
No, they are complete id--ts. They need people around to feel important.
seems another way to force attrition without giving any severance, can’t think of any other explanation dor this sh!t
As a former Employee that left before this started.... Leave, it is only to get worse.
They have NOT banned all travel. We have LOTS of people traveling for ZERO reasons in my area.
