Thread regarding USAA layoffs

Wayne Peacock please read me.

For those of us who would recommend Wayne Peacock resign please like this post.

Mr. Peacick,

In all fairness you have created such a toxic work environment that if a bold move like this is not done then USAA may never return to it's respected & winning ways. USAA has been hit with countless fines, negative news, ethics concerns are on the rise, your salary increase in the midst of layoffs is a slap in our face, and your lies by demanding employees who signed contracts to permanently work from are now being ordered to return on your watch. If the recent round of layoffs were to better position this organization into a more stable financial environment going forward then why sir are you taking a pay increase? I'll gladly give up my bonus to sustain the financial well being & integrity of USAA. Will you? If indeed the RTO is about having employees collaborate more in person then we surely hope the layoffs are not part of an off-shoring move to cut costs. Because we have offices in the U.S., and those employees who were impacted by layoffs surely are & would have returned to the office vs being laid off.

Mr. Peacock read this post. If it garners a high number of likes you owe it to our voice, USAA, and the wonderful cities this company has a footprint in to immediately resign & take your ideas with you. Employees, members and our community demand better. Remember our Mission. Seriously ask yourself are you with or against our mission?

I left USAA after being a member for 20 years because of Wayne Peacock's poor leadership. Within months of him taking office, customer service took a nosedive. I tried to stick it out, but it just kept getting worse... From trying to wrongfully deny auto claims (you failed - I still got paid thanks to my lawyer) to increasing BS fees, to hiring people with unintelligible accents, the list goes on and on. The employees used to be nice when I called. Now, IF you even get through, they are stressed, rude, and sound like somebody is holding them hostage. ITS WAYNE PEACOCK!

I just wish that I had written sooner. I have been a member for more than 20 years and actually the only thing that USAA covered was auto accidents. They are by far the worse homeowners policy payouts on the insurance market. I have had several issues over the years with home damages due to infrequent storms. Once my siding was damaged as well as others in my neighborhood. All homes that were insured by other companies had whole house siding replaced. Mine was given a low partial payment and I have aluminum siding that could not be matched because it isn’t made anymore. Let’s talk roofing…My roof started leaking enough to be seen inside after several tornadoes passed thru our area. USAA adjuster qualified us for around $900 dollars without ever looking in the attic. With a $500 dollar deductible that left me with about $400 to fix my damages. BS…I asked for a reassessment and requested a different adjuster only to receive the same one. This time he did go into the attic and I was paid an additional $867. I gave up and called several roofing companies and was told by each that the whole roof needed replacing. Nearly $20K to fix issue. My roof isn't but about 5 or 6 years old. Same comment from 4 different companies. We have always been faithful to USAA but I have to look into jumping ship along with other military friends. What good does it do to pay all these years only to be paid 5% of coverage. Something has to change in USAA!!!!!

Without a doubt, Wayne Peacock needs to be fired. By far the worst CEO USAA has ever had, and he is directly responsible for ki-ling both employee morale and member morale.

They didnt get bonuses after they laid employees off. The gave themselves raises. In some cases double their salary. Wayne is awful and he brought Amala in and she is awful. Just ask anyone from a company where she worked. She slashes employees and brings in Indian contractors. I would not be surprised if she is getting a kick back from the TaTa brothers for doing this. The employees will continue to hear about the perilous financial situation and get less and less bonus and raises, while the execs laugh and line their pockets.

I’m so confused with these last couple of posts. Weird rants, running off on some tangents.

Are you aware of how much cash reserve and assets USAA sits on? Go read the USAA financial balance sheets. Why the heck would you give up your bonus to "save" the company? Why do you think they dish out so much money to reward Wayne, Amala, etc and not flinch?

USAA is a for profit company, not some non profit corner store save the animals or environment cause. Its mission is to make lots of money. Not some sanctimonious bs military rah rah Kool Aid that it tells you. If you are not aware, you absolutely should read the USAA real financial sheets to open up your eyes as to how clouded you have become because you are fed so much poisonous corporate Kool Aid.

USAA uses terms like efficiencies to eliminate you. It translates to poor management and business decisions made that has hurt annual profits but it doesn't mean the company has no money as it is filthy rich. You will pay with your jobs for the poor business decisions that Peacock and his team have made while they are insulated. Why? Because they have golden parachute clauses and you don't. They get to dictate the terms of anything and you don't as they are in power.

What you need to do is take care of yourself and your needs. No one at USAA is going to care about you. You should never worry if USAA is going to survive. Whether it does or not is irrelevant. Stop drinking the Kool Aid and USAA mission talk of being there for soldier boy. USAA doesn't really care about them. It's a for profit company. Soldier boy has to pay to buy products and are routinely denied claims as well as dropped. USAA treats them like any other customer. Repeat, you don't work for a non profit. These are facts. Your mission is to take care of your life. Period.

What does DE&I and Lincoln Financial have to do with one another?

DE&I: diverse perspectives makes every organization stronger. There’s thousands of peer reviewed studies to support this. Group think is what hurts organizations. Additionally, I don’t think we’ve actually spent much (as a % of costs). DE&I also includes hiring our hero’s and military spouses ;-).

Lincoln Financial does many companies JAR, STD and FMLA. They’ve been pretty seamless.

Wayne is only a short term CEO. He’s here to be the bad guy for 3-5 years and retire with a lot of $ then let someone else steer the freshly trimmed ship

Worst CEO in our history.

Fines. Ethics. Corruption. Violation of Laws. Morale. (This list can go on)

Can anyone name 10 AMAZING things he’s done (that no other CEO has done)?

I could list off a dozen about Joe.

I highly doubt he would resign. It would make sense to do the right thing like resigning, you know, because it is the right thing to do.

Why was Randy Termeer given a $200,000 bonus when P&C has over $2 BILLION in losses last year? That doesn’t sound bonus worthy to me. Not to mention that $200,000 is probably much higher than most of the salaries of the people laid off. Seriously, if this place is so worried about money, they need to cut all EC bonuses until further notice, replace most of the EC, and trim the fat starting at the TOP, not the bottom. USAA chokes down our throat that the “tone is set at the top”…well, the biggest problem with USAA right now is all the toxic trash and poor decisions set at the TOP. It’s disgusting to hear how much these executives make and their bonuses when USAA is at an all time low and sinking faster than the titanic and it can all be tied to the sh-t leadership and tones we get from the top

Tamla Oates-Forney needs to be fired or resign. She is the sole force and person responsible behind this return to office, which is ki-ling the company. They both need to be fired.
