Information regarding GBU Plant Alignment was shared today. It appears only two U.S.A. plants (Mountain Home AR and Opelika AL) will go to the new Kidney Care company. The MH plant manager is taking the open plant manager position at the Cleveland MS plant.

I haven't heard the number yet - but the e-mail from Heather today mentioned that we had to say good by to some of our friends. So far I only know for sure about 5 or 6 people. There were speculations that some of the larger numbers of layoffs would come from some of the manufacturing plants - but I haven't heard anything specific.

The company employees about 60K people worldwide. A 5% cut would be about 3K employees. Any indication the recent cuts last week were anywhere near that number?

I have heard at least 3 names of people that were let go - but our division isn't expected to be hit very hard.

Confirmed yesterday that a couple of managers in the Baxter sales team have been let go, and that the reporting structure has also changed to another silo.
