4/20 were the last layoffs that I know of with a last day date of 5/18. Does anybody know if this is the last round of layoffs or should we expect more in May 2023?

22+ years with them and on 4/6 Im told that would be my last working day. Seperation date will be 5/4. "Budget cuts", "Downsizing", "Job eliminations"... all while they continue buying up other companies to the tune of billions and billions of dollars.

I was just advised 4/6 that my last day will be 5/4 (position being eliminated in M&R) in my 11 years there Iv never seen layoffs to this amount and especially in the department I am in. I’m devastated but hope this helps others.

: @2rqw+1m0Lu4qQ- it’s good info. However this org is “notori@@s” to unethical business practices. They will do whatever it takes to make the bottom line looks great for 2022 proxy ti please shareholder/Board. This includes paying the fines and deal with out of compliance. Writing on the wall making exit plan should be everyone’s priority (except the top - job security with more RIF)

Yes, I heard more layoffs on 4/6 happening at Optum. Not sure how widespread it is though. It is no coincidence that the last round of layoffs had a separation date of 4/6 and today they are doing another phase. All while they bank billions. Tell me this company’s culture is healthy and I’ll sell you a bridge in San Francisco.

This is not true. It was known to many people and also people are getting 1 month to find new job and also a good severance pay.
