Thread regarding Thomson Reuters layoffs

No strategy to achieve targets

There is no vision at the company at all. If you are apart of another company you will clearly see just how much it’s missing here.

If you ask your managers and their managers what their vision and strategy to achieve their targets are, they will not have any thing of substance to respond with. Careful though, asking these types of questions have been met with reprimand.

That's exactly what worries me the most. Such management is leading this company to a bitter end?

Unfortunately, no one seems to be too interested in effective strategies or good working processes. If we could implement some of these things, then we’d be efficient. Many leaders once they are presented with a suggestion for strategy or a different direction would rather maintain status quo waiting for God knows what. Unfortunately, it seems like the way TR finds efficiencies is by cutting staff and salaries. Maybe this company is too big to be efficient, to be innovative, to pivot quickly. It’s no wonder that everyone is overworked. I hope things improve for you all. - Former Employee that hoped TR would do better

@1kyl+1m0IsX56 Being the Chief Strategy Officer of TR is like being the drummer for Spinal Tap. You join, you're there for a short tenure, and then you go up in flames.

Isn't that the job of the new chief strategy officer and his team?
