Thread regarding Change Healthcare layoffs

Is today’s layoff on hold?

I heard today’s layoff was on hold. Not sure if for everyone or just certain departments. I wish they would just rip the band-aid off. Until the next one they’ll continue to suck the life out of us. Neil is a doucher.

So the RIFs did happened in CHC on 3/9, I know few folks who were let go with last day as Apr 6th including Exe. Director :-( which means it isn't over and also has nothing to do with transition letters.

I was just told about a person who was layed off and there last day is in April and she's a manager or mid level manager. So once u get notified ur being layed off; do they give u the 30 days? If so I'm thinking she got her term letter today??? I still haven't got my transition letter so hopefully tomorrow I'll get it. This whole waiting not knowing if it's going to happen isn't good for mental health which is what change always speaks on...your mental health, from what I see on lay offs at optum they have them every month so it doesn't seem like it'll be any better

I agree with the person below, they are likely waiting for everyone to receive their transition letters. Note that the transition letter requires you to sign an arbitration agreement - Aka, you’re limited on taking them to court once you’ve received and signed it. With the two day turnaround requirement, you can no longer sue in court if you’re laid off anytime next week.

We had a mandatory meeting that was canceled yesterday. I’m assuming it was regarding RIFs, so there may be some validity that additional RIFs are on hold for now. They want to provide everyone a transition letter to create a euphoric state of mind for individual contributors.

I don’t think it’s BS. There was a post on Optum’s board about a week ago that layoffs were extended. It was then updated 7 days ago that there wouldn’t be any 3/9 CHC layoffs due to $. The OP said they don’t usually post this info, but is disappointed at how Optum is handling the situation. The reason is up for speculation.

I agree, it is painfully exhausting to wait, but this type of thing seems to be the norm at Optum. We will be strung along until we’re not needed. The integration activities are not complete…conversations about product/workflow are still being had. Getting by this month doesn’t seem to mean anyone is safe going forward.

I feel like people are making up rumors just to make it up. This isn’t funny , if you don’t have a reliable source don’t comment on here with BS.

If it's on hold, why? And until when? People are on the edge of their seats.

Nothing is on hold, just like nothing was business as usual.
