Intel shot themselves twice... first by not designing competitive products, and second, a manufacturing infrastructure that is close to 3x the cost of leading foundries. They could've dodged a bullet or two if it was just one of these... but not both, for an extended period of time.
I have to admit that I was pretty excited about Pat coming back.
But then he unveiled his grand plans, and it's truly been one fiasco after another.
As a CEO, you couldn't do worse if you tried.
Every move Pat makes, Every decision Pat takes, Intel sinks further down.. you don't need Pat as CEO if intel needs to succeed.
Pat made money. Why would he care?
Pat is the greatest leader.
OP you forgot the two biggest mistakes
IDM which guarantees pouring billions into technology and manufacture with little hope of it being cost effective and competitive
IFS even more a joke as they don’t have scale nor technology.
