Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Pat is trying his hardest to turn the company around

Pat and his leadership is trying very hard day and night to remove blockers, streamline processes and kick out slackers who want to get paid to watch Netflix.

Pat literally inherited the worst run business on the planet, with our ex CEOs either busy paying shareholders dividends or sleeping with their subordinates

Night is darkest just before the dawn. Alder lake is going to kick AMD and Nvidia out, specially when TSM is occupied by the Chinese next year

Intel cutting salaries, benefits and dividends while TSMC is hiring 6000 engineers. Where is Pat going to find his talent?

Yes the company has been poorly run starting with Paul Otellini, but Pat is no better at any of it except cheerleading. His plans are failing.

13th gen is raptor lake not alder lake.

At least have a passing knowledge of the products that pay your salaries.

FYI they are sh1t vs Apple M2 in laptops and barely competent vs AMD.

Let’s not get ahead of ourselves with delusions.

Faster is irrelevant metric to focus on.

You need a market that cares (wants) your product. Your addressable market, HP, Lenovo, and DCs have been burned by INTC. They don't want their businesses success or failure to depend on INTC because ... now look in the mirror at your performance.

If you had beat AMD, you wouldnt be here right now. If you had delivered, if you had not delayed...on and on...

Fill in the blank of the excuse list for being a bad part of anybodies supply chain...

Nobody wants intel, given a choice. Point blank. If yiu recognize that. Maybe you can turn around.

Pat realized it. You see his effort to deliver 4N5Y. That's recognition. Except it's the most ridiculous (unbelievable) plan. Anybody in HW semi industry knows that's complete fluff, to even talk about it is a waste of time.

At least be honest, with a realistic plan, there are plenty of SoC that would use a process alternative. But they aren't re--rded. So..Pat. minus one there.

I agree with op. Intel's 13th gen is far superior to AMD no matter how much cache they put in the chip. It's faster than the M2. It's faster than anything AMD in most workloads. People talking about heat or energy consumption clearly don't have one. These things sip power almost all of the time.

Intel engineers are way ahead of the competition and much better looking.

Well maybe if you rah rah Intel boosters could design a chip worth a damn or get your advanced process yields up instead of blowing smoke up Intel execs' as--s on an anonymous online forum, Intel wouldn't be in a death spiral. Now get back to praying for a miracle, because that's all you can do now.

After 2 years, why are the slackers still around?
They must be pretty hard to remove after working around the clock non stop?

The standard of HR is falling fast, that's completely garbage - "when TSM is occupied by the Chinese next year".
