A people from HR said 100 branches aren’t closing and to stop lying. Guess he didn’t see the occ bulletin. I guess he was lying because it’s not 100 branches, but over 150 branches closing.
They lied to everyone saying no front line employees would lose their job and there will be no branch closed
“What's happening to the employees”
Made into regional floats until the end of the year to dodge paying severance. This will force most to quit. I hope everyone knows that if they make your average commute substantially more difficult (as floating does) or if you lose more than x amount of hours you can quit and still qualify for unemployment, just check your states rules.
“30-40% cut? What’s the timeline?”
By 2024, quarter not specified. There are several articles Googleable withs quote from leadership discussing these plans. It’s been in the works well before the UB acquisition. “Digital first” doesn’t require branches or costly front line employees.
“Yes over 100 branches closing with Union and us bank”
106 USB Branches alone and maybe 50+ UB branches all on the west coast.
This guys not lying. See for yourself. Looks like US Bank is getting started. Let’s grab some popcorn and watch this sh-t show 😂

Where did that info come from?
What's happening to the employees?
30-40% cut? What’s the timeline?
30-40% of branches planned to be cut, so probably well over 100 total will be gone once the dust settles.
BS
Yes over 100 branches closing with Union and us bank
There are not 100 branches closing!!! Stop trying to get people all riled up.
