Thread regarding ConocoPhillips layoffs

Executive Bomus

Alright everybody let’s start the running. By running I mean do we think the executives will top their highest bonus, stock incentive, etc because of the record year even though the TSR (their job) was quite poor. Unless there is some crazy stock bonus we get in April it’s hard to believe they should get a record reception for themselves while ever everyone else having to manage their decisions got lower than last year. Being that they have many on the board I’m sure they reserved themselves the best payout ever, like ConocoPhillips had.

These guys talk a good show but they don’t walk the walk. ALL they care about is their own compensation. They will be rewarded immediate term and long term exceedingly well. Bet on it.

I hope this isn't the case. I can't shake my discontent more with the merit increase more than the bonus percentage. It is tough to take an effective PAY CUT when the company had its best financial year in the history of the company. Meanwhile, my car insurance went up 17% (no accidents or claims), my trash service just increased 34%, my grocery bill is up 20% over 2021, my homeowners insurance is up 12%. . . .. . a pay cut in purchasing power. The company got richer, and my living expenses are up much more than 5%.

Ergo, a pay cut in purchasing power to celebrate the company thriving.
