Just a heads up to everyone. I’ve been told by Concho head managers (I am a hCXO) that ConocoPhillips managers don’t promote. This is the opposite of my experience. Concho managers hold resentment towards any employees trying to further progress and challenge them, Concho or ConocoPhillips personnel. If you are trying to change positions they will befriend you then stab you in the back, only seen head managers do this. I work for heritage ConocoPhillips now and it’s the best team, the Concho team has only been toxic and lied to me even though we were trained as the best. There are still ConocoPhillips managers (power welders) that slip through that will do the same sadly. I got lucky.

ConocoPhillips managers only promote expert boot kickers and brown nosers. Everyone else gets the standard excuse: “it was a really tough year and everyone was doing their best. Just be patient and your turn will come.”
