Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Pat needs to conduct ODIs

Open Door Investigations (ODI) on some ELT team members, HR, and Legal using an independent team (NOT HR) that he trusts. I have it from reputable source that there is a concentration of employees in these areas, and some are in high level positions, that are trying to undermine Pat's efforts to re-instate the traditional, Grovian culture that made Intel successful. These people prefer to keep the toxic W00ke culture that BK put in place. Perhaps some of them are here posting negative, slanderous things about Pat as they want to pin Intel's current woes on him and get him ousted by the BOD.

Oh, puh-lease.

If this is what Pat is doing, he's further showing that he is totally clueless about being a CEO and LEADING a company. Copying what worked from decades ago, in an industry with a landscape that is totally different now is a hail mary, not plan for success.

Although past success is not an indicate of future success, past failure is a pretty good approximation of future failure. Take a look at what Pat ("We are an aggressive user of H1B visas") did at vmware, and how he left the company to get a sense of what he might do.

I don't think he cares one wh-t about the company, the shareholders, the employees or anyone else. He wants to increase his financial & ego bank accounts by raking in future compenstation so that he can donate it to his church to spread his religion.

Woke is being told you’re hired for a new position only to then be told sorry the position can only go to a URM candidate.

If there are 2 opposing groups in senior management as suggested by OP than unfortunately for Intel they are both wrong. Woke ideologies are proving to be a bad strategy across multiple industries and trying to go back in time is stupid. The world has moved on so going back to the 90s because they were successful years isn't a strategy that will out perform the competition now. The best thing that could happen for Intel would be if it were taken private by a group who is willing to make the hard cuts necessary in the ELT, CEO, and BOD. This company needs a restructuring from the top down to become more efficient and get rid of the old ideas and methodologies that are basis of how the company is run. Companies that survive and thrive evolve. Intel changed its hiring practices but the core business practices are the same. As usual, the layoffs are not impacting the people who really need to go.

OP is correct. At very high levels there are saboteurs.

Pat needs to be undermined, he is a fool who considers himself a genius, the most dangerous possible combination. It's good there are still sane people in the leadership trying to resist him.
