Return to Work

Surprise surprise…… another change….. they are back on the return to the office bandwagon. No more flex worker status and TW only with medical exception. Everyone will need to go in 2-3 days a week to the location listed for you in Webphone…… meetings to relay the message have started, new policy will be out this week I am told. Apparently they are mad that no one went in as they were designated so we all have to pay as a result.

"To collaborate with local employees and get the opportunity to learn a different part of the business. The focal point is to maximize employee productivity as a whole"

This accomplishes neither. Collaboration is just a fancy word for "BS". All I hear from people in the office is about their personal lives and their vacations. Nothing valuable at all to anything. All they do is bother me and don't help me in any way with anything useful. It has the exact opposite impact, while making me have to travel into an office, making me less happy. So, it decreases productivity and employee happiness.

After 28 years of WTF my work will be no different in an office than in my home.

Hate to sound subjective but this doesn’t work.

“.. .what’s the point to go to office, except to produce more carbon dioxide push us more driving.”

To collaborate with local employees and get the opportunity to learn a different part of the business. The focal point is to maximize employee productivity as a whole.

I was hired as a TW worker years before Covid. I haven't heard anything about requiring a medical exemption. Can someone confirm that? I did hear at the Legg town hall meeting that Flex and full time office worker designations would be combined.

It makes no sense to my team to go back to office. Our 10 teammates in 10 different cities in 6 states.
Go back to office means we are still meeting virtually... what’s the point to go to office, except to produce more carbon dioxide push us more driving

Well, fun while it lasted. 2-3 days isn’t the end of the world.

You are encouraged to wear a mask and additional protective gear in the office if you still have COVID concerns. Sanitizer for everyone!

Interesting, for those that had religious exemption to Covid shot, does this clarify At&t policy for that grouo? These people were "no change" when the first Return to Work policy came out in 2022.

This is a necessary move to increase productivity. Way too many employees are ghosts during the day and cannot be reached when “working” from home.

What rock have you been under? Most BU have been going back 2-3 days a week for that last 18 months. As defined, a FLEX work is 2-3 days per week, no change to indicators. This is not new news, so unrealistic for your employer to expect you to go into the office 2-3 days a week...get over it and get your a-s back into the office.

Uh in most places where employees were asked to return 2-3 days they already have. In our office we were told to return 2 days a week and have done so. If you have refused to do so than stop bi--hing it’s your own fault they are gonna track you now.
