St. Louis has become unattractive because of high crime not only in the city but also in the metro. I recall during MFN's reign that he had trouble luring top executive talent to STL because of the problems--even a couple of years ago. London has already stated on investor calls that Centene wants a smaller real estate footprint. There's a lot of empty space in Tampa and other places in FL, and corporately FL is a better place to be than MO. Last August, Centene exited the University City 2nd HQ deal in Charlotte NC. Exiting St. Louis might accomplish both a cheaper overhead and downsize staff. Don't know if there's talk about this, but don't be surprised.

St. Louis is a warzone. Shootings are a first topic of the day on the smiling local morning news. Clayton, MO is a nightmare driving into and out of on a daily basis. Expect 1 hour commutes each way. We have 105 degree F summers and massive humidity with mosquito swarms you'll have nightmares about. Winters are -15 degree F cold with no sunlight and little snow. Also it goes from winter to summer in one week max. We have a giant dark dirty river with no mountains. The pizza is great and you can tell by all the fat people they eat a lot of it.
Amazing how defensive you all are about STL.
They got rid of a ton of real estate in Tampa. Don’t see it happening.
“Corporately FL is a better place to be”? maybe ask Disney about that? MO is no picnic but FL is rapidly becoming an anti-intellectual, anti-business madhouse.
