I definitely don’t want to see Vena get the position. But I’m curious to know who everyone would like to see to replace Fritz instead. Gerehinger would have my vote. Who would you vote for?

The Bear Mohan
Donald J.Trump
Katie Farmer
Celine Dion?
Jimbo or Jumbo. Vena or Lischer.
Let's make Tom Lischer big again!
Lori Lightfoot may be interested.

If Elon Musk was in charge, he would fire 99% of management on day one. Maybe 100%.
I hereby nominate CASEY JONES for the position of CEO.
Well the hedge funds are pushing it so it’s going to be more cut, cut, cut. That’s the only thing Vena knows how to do and the only thing the hedge funds want. They don’t want to hear that it costs more to operate because the locomotives, tracks and cars don’t work. They don’t want to hear that they have crew shortages. They want record profits and they’ll do whatever it takes to get them. It’s going to be a long hard road. I have five years and nine months. I hope I make it.
I agree with the poster that recommended Dennis Duffy. I have been here almost 35 years and remember what it was like when we operated like a railroad. We need an old school, no nonsense professional railroader to bring the pride back to the company and stop the PSR cancer that has taken over the industry.
Pick a qualified ,experienced person from the ones they sent home pending health status. That way Up will show how much they care about people.
Elon Musk
Cameron Scott was on his way.
We NEED a CEO that knows building longer trains =bigger explosions and firing and laying off employees. And trying to run a company with bare minimum employee is a disaster waiting to happen.
I want someone that paid $5 for their degree and got a 3 month trial of Reader’s Digest Large Print Edition thrown in for free as a bonus. There are several current and former UP executives to choose from.
It wouldn’t surprise me if it’s either Jennifer Haaman or Beth Whited.
I cant find the bid in CMTS
Giandinoto would be a decent person in my opinion, he seems to listen to the workforce. We need a change for sure. I wish the investors would give it a try and treat employees good and see that happy employees make successful companies, instead of forcing drastic changes and policies that make the conditions even worse than they already are.
Some EA with a hair bun and skinny jeans that grew up playing video games is a good candidate.
It as already been stated that no one in the UP ranks is capable of the job. Fritz has been rated the worst of the worst in every category. No one under his tutelage will be his successor.
Need an experienced bridge or signal engineer. Somebody who worked their way up through a rr.
Eric
Pete Buttiegie
If vena becomes ceo he will replace the conductor and engineer with those inflatable people like from the movie (airplane) when the co pilot inflated and was flying the plane. Hahaha he says he will get two per train so no one complaines about one man crews. What a shitzu show this will become omg
Anybody but Vena! I don't know enough about Gehringer to say yes or no. I know he plays a bit timid on camera, but that tends to happen when Fritz is around. The UP needs someone who actually knows the business to run it. The investors need to stay out of the business affairs. The UP ran just fine without Fritz or Soroban Capital Partners. The UP will run just fine without them as well.
Dennis Duffy. It would be nice to have a real railroader in charge instead of someone from another industry or a PSR fruitcake like Vena. We need to go back to basics and operate like a railroad instead of a hedge fund or pyramid scheme.
Somebody with a degree from Madison University.
SP former officials.
would be good.
