Company makes bad decisions and your quick to blame employees. The next layoffs are Managers too muck pork on the non craft side. Like the old saying too many Chiefs with no Indians.
So whats it going to be? Layoffs and vspp or bankruptcy? Go bankrupt and pay who off? You really think a plan isnt already in place to rid themselves of employees and not have to spend any money doing it? Divest centurylink and net techs. Keep quantum and prem techs/contractors. Theres no pot of gold under this pile of shiz.
This must not be for Florida, because we are in dire need for service techs. They just hired a lot of quantum fiber techs.

Ha! Someone is really on this layoff website to challenge package offerings?! Yes! There will be VSPP packages. The union contract is good until 2026. Any company movement to surplus, force reduce, clip, or whatever you want to call it; will require a VSPP package. No way around it for 3 more years. And someone really thinks the company won't reduce headcount in the next 3 years?! Put down the glue.

It doesn't matter if you're craft or management, we're all equally screwed. They are going to have to cut costs and headcount to stay afloat. They're selling off all the local real estate that isn't adjacent to central offices

The competition is working in our neighborhoods running in fibers and having automated MDUs. Just hope we are not too late for our fiber.

They won't be targeting outside techs.
They will be targeting Central office techs, engineering, NOC center (ds0, ds1, broadband, overseas help desk)
Doubt it! Scroll down, there’s not enough techs as it is, why would they offer a package to be even more short. Doesn’t make sense.
I would love to believe this, but we’re understaffed here, I don’t see that happening in my area. But I hope it’s true!
