Small businesses are hurting for employees. They're getting hit by both inflation and labor shortages. Big corporations have their perks, but for right now small to medium business are where the job opportunities are.

Look on alternative job sites like reddit and craigslist. LinkedIn tends to be catered too much to big corporations, but it's still worth a try.

Relative to fraud, the way it works according to some people on LinkedIn is the scammer moves through the interview process and when you get the job they ask for checking account information including check routing.

File for unemployment you deserve it you and Dell both paid and Dell will pay more in the future. Use the local reemployment centers and take advantage of their connections as well as you network of frustrated ex Dell people that left. Try Indeed as well. hoping the best for you...

If you are like many of the older people crushed on this round... do all the above and enjoy retirement.
