Yes, her theft was hidden that long due to the fact she was a professional thief and kept 2 sets of books.
The doctored ones stayed at the club and the real book was always in her tote bag that stayed in her possession.
So yes, its possible because it happened.
If you want to steal bad enough, you will figure out a way.
Not everyone does what Jesus would do.

Someone correct me if I am wrong, but wasn't instruction given from the meeting with market managers & club managers that fresh trucks & f/c trucks didn't need to be verified any longer because it was too time consuming?
It will not matter anyway. Corporate manipulates items in or out of club inventory on a daily basis to limit bonus payouts.

  1. . check the history for the item
  2. check the receiver papers to see if it is being verified
  3. . you should see daily throws/donations almost daily, if not, manager not following up on Team Lead
  4. . You should see in club damages on history as well
  5. . You should see where club has filed for credit on shortages from DC
  6. . think outside the box; was the last audit correct or were the numbers "pencil whipped"
  7. count your numbers correctly, have someone verify, if numbers are correct, give to manager to finalize, if they say anything; reply my numbers are correct, I cannot change because that becomes an integrity issue and grounds for immediate termination.
  8. . show all your research on audit papers.
  9. . Suggest your club should "blind receive" fresh trucks, meaning make a copy of manifest for truck, white out all the quantity amounts, have an associate write on copy how many of each was received, verify with original manifest copy, file for credit from DC for difference. Just a note; we were shorted over $250,000 in product last year. I know HO says we don't verify fresh trucks but they make mistakes also.

If you have a former audit team lead in the building, see if they can help you. If so, take notes, pay attention and follow their advice.

Never let them call your integrity into question. Integrity is not only doing the right thing when someone is watching, it is doing the right thing when no-one is watching.

Sincerely, Old Asset Protection Manager

How can one audit person fudge audits, steal, and then fool everyone on inventory day that everything they stole is still there? It's not possible. Especially for 4 years in a row.

Our meat team leader lies almost every truck about receiving the items, told manager and he said that is how fresh works 😳😳

Our former audit lead manipulated all her audit numbers to hide her own theft from our club and to make our shrink seem dramatically less then what it was.
Took about 4 years for all this "dirt " to finally come out and she was fired.
So no, there needs to be more then just the Audit team brought back to correct inventory and shrink.
General managers, assistant managers, teamleads, and associates all need to be re-schooled on how to properly scan out broken items, club use, donations, throws etc.
It's id--tic to make it one person's responsibility and then throw them under the bus when management doesn't like the numbers !

Tell him it's because the throws weren't scanned out properly. Meaning it's his fault.
