Stock trading low

Any ideas why this would happen?

90% of the Company are rated Successful. What an achievement! Such an honor to be among so many distinguished people. Seems like a lazy way out for managers, so just eliminate the antiquated performance review process. Company wants to be viewed as innovative game-changers, however continue to hold onto useless policies and procedures, this bring one of many around here.....

Maybe the stock market figured out we're a lost cause.

Stock artificially inflated from buybacks.

Stocked dropped because our earnings came in less than the analysts expected. It's a game to get the analysts to expect a less than we deliver and then be "surprised" on the upside. A silly game.

If the market comes to believe that a substantial downsizing will occur, the stock might go up because the market likes the cost savings. But, the stock could also go down on downsizing rumors if the market thinks the company is financially stressed. In that case, the dividends and stock buybacks, and ability to pay policyholders could be at risk.

But, yeah, generally the market likes blood.

Seems to be an odd post as I would guess senior staff are paid more than their younger counterparts.. But hey what do I know

If you are under 32 years old and reading this, your jobs are safe.

And if you are a new hire, you are already being paid more than your older counter parts. You’re safe too.

The older (age) workers are not safe. Their jobs will be filled by the already better paid younger workers.

Yes! There are a lot of AVP's that don't know their a## from a hole in the ground.

How does this happen? Oh, they don't have to know anything. They are "people leaders".

Regarding AVPs:

My AVP doesn't even know basic excel or computer technology. Constantly asking questions that can be solved with 5 minutes on Google or youtube. Too stupid to realize how embarrassed they should be for not knowing how to figure it out on their own.

The stock market knows there are going to be deep layoffs in US business but the CEO can’t say (tell) it to employees at the last LTL.

Deep layoffs Mid-March just after comp. discussions.

If your comp increase is paltry it is time to jump ship. If you aren’t laid off, you are unlucky because you now can expect to do more work (you know raise the bar) for less pay with less resources. It’s all about the Benjamin’s.

There will be cuts

I sure hope they finally wake the F up and get rid of the useless AVPs. Just because they have direct reports doesn't mean they add any value. Many don't and simply take up a seat (salary). High priced babysitters that no one asked for, are what they are.

Cost cutting coming soon to us business as it continues to under perform. Small pockets of layoffs will start mid March and continue into next year.
