Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

Gone as of Friday Feb 17

Had enough. No more. Early retirement for me. Couldn't wipe the grin off my face with a belt sander!

3 weeks for every year that’s highway robbery. Me in the US when I retired all I got was my YTD 401K match which was under $200.00

While the "high-cost" centre people may not be designing aircraft engines, you never know what they might be capable of when given the challenge/opportunity. That challenge/ opportunity will never come, as no one trusts DXC with high calibre/skill work any more... all we get is the grunt work till such time it is modernized (by someone else) and then we are out.
And then these same people shine , in the same high cost countries, when they are picked up by other companies who genuinely care for growth, both for the company and for the employee, not just the C-suite and the shareholders.
Yes, the labour pyramid would turn around, but there would be no one to deliver, as the planktons at the bottom of that pyramid would not be able to tell their a$$ apart from their elbow even if their dear life depended on it... and without the cover of the high cost centre people, they are dead in the water. It will be a beautiful pyramid, but it ain't going nowehre and ain't doin nothin.
As someone rightly said, a accountant is a person who knows the cost of everything but the value of nothing.
So, focus on cost by all means, and lose value...most of it is lost anyway by now.

if you use a 40 grit sandpaper, that would remove it. btw - the more exits happen in high cost centers, the company can turn around the labour pyramid. To honest, most of the people here are not Engineers designing aircraft engines.
