I have heard many rumors of IPG being spun-off to Synopsys or Cadence. This explains the management change to KT because IBC was not playing ball. Anyone know more?

This is true. Most of IPG will be sold to Synopsys, some parts will be absorbed by other groups within Intel.
Kinda make sense for Intel.
But why would Cadence or Synopsis want a set of duplicating spaghetti code streams?
