Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

There are several problems with Intel HR.

  1. No screening of employees' backgrounds
  2. Implement layoffs too slowly and create unnecessary stress on employees
  3. Fix your culture. How could Pat say the culture is turned better when people clearly think otherwise?

the culture has started to turn better but there's still much work to do to undo the damage from the last 10 years. And it's almost certain that there remain people in positions of authority in HR and other areas that are silently resisting PG's efforts to undo this damage.

Is this what happens "in the saddle"?

This is indeed disturbing. With economy in turmoil, paycuts and layoffs only lineup the fat salaries of CXOs while the lower grade gets the axe. Mental well being is a serious issue.
