By piling on the work,cutting back employees and letting contractors go. Doubling the amount of living units to be turned up. I don't want to take any more classes or go to any more meetings. Give me a damn package an I'm outta here! This is a terrible place to work!

You still get work? I’m in a CO & haven’t been “allowed” to touch a piece of equipment since Glenn Post left. We even have remote systems that I can’t even log into to make a speed change for a field tech.
I get to sweep floors instead. Rumor has it, BRIGHTSPEED is doing the same to their CO guys. Basically it’s just Lumen jr.
Damn can they hire some people already? Drowning in this workload. I have about retiring just to get away and find an outside job. One I like.
The management has no idea what they are doing.
I know its going to be tough for me, but I'm going to let them pull the trigger on me. Figure if there is no package I'll get unemployment. Based on what may happen getting terminated is likely as one previous comment on another thread mentioned metrics being raised.
took the VSPP back in Sept 2021 I was lucky I got it, boy best decision I ever made got a better job with a little less pay and I feel valued and appreciated. I never got that when I was a Broadband Tech, just numbers, you are doing stuff wrong, etc. The SROs are useless and so are the 2nd Levels, a dying industry and so much mismanagement. Many techs I worked with felt the same if you are looking for a package, you won't get one, the company can't afford it per a union official I hear, get out and brush up on your resume and start looking. Google is looking to hire GPON techs in Chandler, AZ very soon FYI. Good luck everyone and to your new CEO, if you think she going to make a difference, don't be fooled it won't work. Expect the sale of Legacy Qwest territories and surpluses. Sad but true. Good luck to all
They’ve been pursuing that objective for years now! No raises, no promotions, no growth. Unrealistic KPIs that can’t be met! Demoralizing talent and pushing them to the door. I took the VSPP and it’s quite possibly the best decision I’ve ever made!
