but the over 200 VP's still raked in their six figure bonuses, right?
Bye Bye - abcdefG.
Laid off from a legal position with such a short window between the layoff announcement and the meeting, my department head barely even said anything. I’m sure they felt terrible but the lack of humanity in that conversation was deeply disheartening. Keeping my fingers crossed that coworkers of mine are safe during these layoffs, I know a lot of them are supporting families and have been with the company a long time…
lots of missed opportunities as there are still way to many up top. Still hanging around are lots of high paid people who have skated by for years. These are your decision makers that made poor, if any, decisions that got us to this point.
Barbie designer here! Just got laid off :’) Hoping all the good and kind designers are safe
How about one of those spot surveys we have been accustomed to Marty? Maybe ask, who thinks the company is VERY TOP heavy and where cuts should/could start. Hmm… just an idea.
Anyone hear about how many people have been laid off so far? Done by end of month. Talk about a workplace distraction for the next week! And can only wonder if there will be more later in the year too.
I posted earlier (34 years at the company)... I'm in the Law Department.
Sorry for the old timers that just sh---y, dedication means nothing at this company. Kissing a-s is where it is at.
Anyone know what departments are affected or how many people?
What groups are affected?
Just got let go after 34 years along with 2 other long time employees in my group. We were told our positions are being downgraded... so they'll be replacing us immediately with lower positions. Could anything be more insulting? Isn't it bad enough they're trying to force retirement on us? Apparently dedication, experience and knowledge mean nothing to Mattel...
No bonuses. Layoffs. Rumor of return to office. Raises will be nil or 1%. How do you ki-l morale better?
