My first thought after reading this post was how awesome there are good, decent people in the world. . .but it quickly turned to rage. Seriously, hard working people give up some of their income to make up for Dell's greed!!! It's appalling!
But the OP is probably a Dell troll trying to throw some positive spin on this mess.
Dell always has been and will always be about Michael Dell! The going public then private then public, layoffs, VSP’s…Guess who always profits?? Buys EMC for 64 Billion dollars pays down the debt with the hard working employees effort then splits off parts of the company. Now he PERSONALLY will make billions of Dollars on the sale of VMware while laying off thousands of workers.
You do realize EMC was going to be raided by corporate raiders whether you liked it or not. Those 6 years were 5 more than you probably would have gotten under Elliott or Icahn.
He was being sarcastic . And yes…. All of us will pay for the redundancies with huge targets… lower pay and now creative new targeting
I never choose to work for Dell they bought EMC I really had no choice. It was worse 6yrs experience in my entire career! I even enjoyed my pre-college jobs more than Dell! So happy to be out of that place.
Man...spend your new free time to get un-brainwashed.
Have to agree the "Dell family" was all words.. Nobody kicks you out of "family" so let's stop it wasn't more than management "motivational" speech to get you to work harder for the "team"
That's great but don't conflate the goodness of individuals with Dell. Don't "forever bleed blue". Dell screwed you, some of your colleagues are doing what they can to mitigate the damage Dell has inflicted.
