Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

As we continue to bleed out staff

It’s funny. Upper management is trying to be so nicey nicey right now. All the happy wishes and positive “thank yous” and trying, to show an interest in the personal lives of the people. Don’t go there ! It’s so plastic and fake. Most can see right through it. The numbers for them aren’t good. People still continue to leave and they can’t replace them fast enough offshore or by vendor and it’s very difficult to find American workers who want to work for this company. The word is out. It’s not a happy place to work. It’s riddled with beam counters and fake upper managers who yell and intimidate their subordinates while putting on a big smile of thanksgiving to the workers. They are scrambling as the workers leave one by one. Who needs lay offs? It’s happening by attrition! It’s just happening a little too fast for them. So now they are taking some pressure off and portraying how much they care. Why? They’re scared of more departures prematurely. Trouble is, the ones that have stuck around these last 3 years of he-l are worn down and are revolting. They are finding their voice and are not going to take being treated like shoe dung anymore. They are speaking out. It’s like they woke up from a bad dream and are saying “wait a minute you guys have ruined this place and a lot of my real friends have left already why am I still here “? My bills I guess. More people continue to leave though for better opportunities and retirement. Better hurry with the transfusion. Or transformation ! Your staff is woke to you now !

At the end of the day, you are a fool to have believed being an insurance adjuster was something to be proud of.

Let me let you in a on a little secret--if the people working the fast food joints across the nation knew they could make 40-50k by answering the phone and filling out a template, there would be no one left to make your cheeseburgers.

The dirty little secret about offshore resources is that there is HUGE turnover at the overseas vendors. Competition for people skilled enough and/or with the language skills (not heavily accented) is enormous. The vendors / overseas managers are constantly playing a game of musical shares in a hall of smoke and mirrors

There are hundreds of thousands of foreigners that they have lined up for these jobs. At the expense of customer service and relationship to cover their bottom lines. They don't care.
