You should be working your tails off every year in the same way. Remember that the bonus is just extra gravy. If you don’t like the way things are run or
your compensation then go work for the other guys. The business is still very good for employment.

Your friend is an id--t. Read the other companies and you will see most had a lower bonus.
A 160 for hse after the "second best safety year ever" seemed surprising.
Im thankful for the bonus but very surprised it was lower than last year.
This is sad and just heard from a friends working at XOM, Shell and CVX that this was their best payout year. Even smaller operators like Oxy and Hillcroft paid two bonuses last year and expecting higher payouts this year. I am really annoyed for all the hard work.
I see both sides. But treat this bonus as a bonus. For my sector in the company, we are generally well paid. I couldn’t replicate my salary in another industry-maybe tech but then I’d have to deal with more wokeness than I can handle, it’s bad enough around here I can’t imagine what goes down in tech companies

Every year, people hope that magically THIS ONE will be better. And every year it isn’t. All the execs get their share though. We should just be happy to have a job in their view. But hey…maybe NEXT year will be the big one!
The executives who screwed up the TSR and responsible will get their biggest bonus, stock award and other compensation though, also not planning for inflation is another failure on their part. I’m starting a new career this company is stupid.
"Where else will you go? Look at the market and accept your scraps!" Two years of record profits, and they do the bare minimum to retain us while claiming our peers are doing the same or worse. Spoiler: They aren't.
Nothing surprises me any more. Smart Growth, Superior Returns, SPIRIT Values.…Just remember, any thing greater than 100% is good so please don’t view this VCIP award negatively. On the positive side, you can get a free Starbuck’s coffee at the Houston office. Better hurry though, that deal ends at 3pm.
