Thread regarding Seagate Technology Inc. layoffs

STX Environmental Alliance - Stop Manufacturing, Site closures.

Listened to Ms. Sustainability. The writing is on the wall, that STX will cut manufacturing and close sites because in its bad for the environment.
By 2030 all manufacturing and R&D sites will be powered by renewable energy. How will the CCP, the world's biggest polluter, do this at Wuxi?
How about the rolling blackouts in CA? Windmills don't work well when they're frozen, just ask the folks in Texas. With MN's short winter days how will solar work there?
To be 100% renewable energy sourced, these sites must reduce there power requirements to meet the available renewable energy, ie cut staff.

Ms. Sustainability had pie charts showing US based sites are not green. FRE and KOR have solar panels but only generate 6% and 1% of their current demand.
So, to meet her goals, the demand must be reduced by over 94%. How can this be done in 7 years? Maybe HAMR can solve this problem too!
She wants to stop going to the mines. Where does lithium for the batteries that hold the renewable energy come from?

A carbon credit passport? Really? Hmm, using too much carbon, we can just shut your power off.

The energy saving for laptop data storage is complete: SSD replaced HDD
Also for Desktop, 10K, this energy saving is almost complete.
Only Cloud storage HDD are of concern
For Cloud storage, again, Tape and SSD will help to mitigate the environmental impact of energy consumption of HDD.
However in the long run, with the dramatic improvements of HAMR drives currently being shipped by Seagate, both SSD and Tape will be replaced by HAMR drives. So I was told.

This is helpful actually. Can this thread be designated the Q thread? This way, all related WEF/NWO/Lizard People stories can be localized in one thread.

More energy can be saved by switching from HDD to SSD or even better Tape Data Storage.
Therefore customers will make the switch.

It's a complete joke that will never happen. Well, let's hope so because if they actually implement it then millions of people are going to die. Oh, isn't that the WEF plan? Ok then.

Seagate needs to start developing extra long extension EV charging cables that people can hang out of their apartment windows from floors 3+ to charge the mandated EVs they have to buy. Oh yeah, those apartment complex dwellers aren't supposed to need/have cars. Yeah. Brilliant minds at work all around.

Bottom line is you know this can't happen because obtaining all this renewable energy will involve costs that divert money from the dividend.
