I've always wanted to submit this question for one of the all hands meetings: How is TSMC so successful despite its lack of diversity?
@wte That is overly optimistic.
After the factory is staffed, someone would check the color spectrum and inspect the genitals. I bet the odds are, if meritocracy was what the Taiwanese were doing, it would not get a passing grade. The story then develops from there.
The color blind meet the colorful, LOL. It's the same everywhere.
TSMC will be safe from DEI, you will not survive there without a strong work ethic regardless of race, creed, or orientation... All employees I know of at TSMC did a decent stint in Taiwan to get acclimatized to expectations and trained on their systems.
Hiring would have to conform to local laws. That's why TSMC doesn't want to build fabs in the US. They will be sued very soon. It is part of the cost doing business here.
The numbers in that story are wonky. They’re adding 3.5B to their investment, which triples their total to now 40B?
Regardless, anybody who hires based on talent and ability will win, and those who don’t will wither away and die.
