Thread regarding State Farm Insurance layoffs

Almost no one wants to work for 2 or more people anymore

I just don't care anymore. I stopped making any extra efforts because I'm not willing to risk my health, it's not worth it. There are fewer and fewer people who agree to do double work and, even though there are still such people here, I'm curious what happens when they too lose motivation for work..

agreed, theyve been cutting roles and spreading work around for about a decade now. Doing the work of two people was the past, the new future is giving you the work of 3-5 people then asking you to love it.

Man, the work of two was like 10 years ago man, and id ki-l to go back to that.

Right now anyone in the customer facing roles are likely doing what 5 people use to do, all while their purchasing power of their pay decreases with time due to inflation and super weak raises.

I'm sure if you compared it to like the 1960s SF, we are all doing the job of 10 people, in productivity, for the pay of 1/10 of one worker back then in purchasing power.

Executives are doing ok though and thats all that seems to matter here.

Wow, every company would like the kind of weak leadership that has created the most dominant insurance company in the U. S. for over a 100 years-despite a below average work force.

Don't minimize what others may think it's more. Make management live up to what they preach. Problem at SF is weak and greedy leadership.

Anyone going to buy book by tipstard "how to destroy the #1 insurance company in 5 years or less while lining your own pockets in 5 years or less"?

No job is worth taking your mental or physical health. A job that takes a workers physical or mental health clearly illustrates poor and incompetent leadership. Turnover and poor training fuels health deterioration. Overpaid management/executive bonuses fuel the deterioration as well.

I’m not sure what you are saying, are you saying you aren’t going to go the extra mile, or is it work OT or what exactly?
