Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Bloated company

Intel is full of dead wood. Isn't it awful that it got to this level of bloat?

Intel managers are id--ts. They do not know the business, just work to please his manager.

Very hard to stay on top... Innovators dilemma... it takes hard work and a bit of luck to succeed... and once you get on top you can easily get fat and think somehow the success came from you when in fact you are riding on the success of those that came before you... Always stay hungry. Always redefine yourself. Don't count on the company to do it for you.

Gut the VP and Director ranks. Lots of money there for no work. Just ask the people who actually do the work.

Too many people promoted for the wrong reasons, that's a good place to start trimming the fat.

Lab manager was watching Tommy Boy in the morning, and Talladega Nights in the afternoon.

Had to go to the Lab today, the engineer aka lab manager was watching the movie...stayed two hours debugging platform and he's right next to me watching movies l, nothing to do. BTW, his base pay is close to 180k. I know cause my ex boss hired him and I saw the pay letter.

Not motivated to work... sighed..

Intel can clearly layoff a lot of people without hurting itself, if only they know how.

They should hire some TSMC/AMD/Nvidia/Micron guys and do a complete reorg. Intel's management has poor understanding of the business, market, and technology. They are in-fighting focused resource grabbers.

Chainsaw needed.
