The hub strategy is nothing more than a way of speeding up attrition. Even with the hubs very few in my group are collocated. SVB can have all the OKRs he wants, but it's a joke in all cases.

If you saw the facilities these executives work from on the top floor sky scraper overlooking sweeping views of NYC, catered foot, bar, live TB, rec room, showers, private bathrooms, armed security, and reception desk for minion executives checking in for an a-s chewing you would want to return to office as well. Forget their limo ride in and expensive cappuccino machines just consider the amenities they have and we dont under threat of layoff and hub consolidation.

They do not care what you think.

What infuriates me is there are still thousands of employees who live in the middle of nowhere and are remote, but yet they are busting my you know what to come in 3 days a week. 38 miles from a hub. Not envious, but doesn’t seem to make sense…friend of mine lives in Hilton Head and is remote. Basically has retired on active duty (what we used to say in the service).

NYC hub is only for Charlie and his friends. We get NC and TX--oh and India.

Hub strategy - rolled out like 5-6 years ago. Talk to your manager.

did anyone miss the fact that WF is spending 500 mill in Charlotte? That's pretty awesome and I would consider that a big hub or HQ at least.

In the end there will be only one US hub and it'll be NYC. FHYs.

Hub strategy is, does your manager like you? If so, you're good, if not f---- off.

If you’re an actual employee ask your manager. They have the slide decks that apply to you. But you’re not so go fvck yourself.

Look at new job postings for your LOB. Are you in one of the markets listed on the job openings?

No? Then you'll have zero opportunity to move up in your LOB.

What do you mean? The strategy is to only hire in core markets.

It depends on the LoB. Irving Tx Is becoming big and Charlotte is the unofficial hq. Sr Leadership hq is in nyc. I heard they’re building out the Phoenix market in some LoB’s.
