Thread regarding Avaya layoffs

There's still talent here

Some are trying to portray that there is no more talent left in this company, which is not true. Many excellent employees have left, but there are still very competent people here. It's unbelievable to me that Avaya is not trying harder to retain them, even though this company needs people like that the most.

There is.

Yet there are also some very loud talentless individuals. Too loud. And they make us look like id--ts.

Let’s be honest with ourselves. If you are shopping for a car would you bring home to your wife a Delorean, a Yugo or maybe a Pontiac Fiero? Of course not. Any decision maker who values his job will never recommend investing in Avaya. It won’t happen.

The Area Sales Managers who own the business sectors are not being honest with Executive management and are jjust playing “business as usual” not reporting the reality up the food chain.

Avaya Professional Services barely has any (original) US talent left, the plan is cheaper support from overseas Centers of Excellence. The retained employees are mainly for support of “US Citizens” or government work only. Many years of experience was put on the street last week, I guess Alan feels anyone can carry the Avaya torch forward. This also makes Avaya look better to potential buyers. Alan should have been more specific when talking about the “Destination” in DPTW, which we now know really means India or Argentina is the “Destination” to be. Wonder how the customer base like this new support model?
