Thread regarding T-Mobile layoffs

I hope that good workers won't be targeted

It will be truly devastating if it turns out that the target are the remaining high-quality workers who actually add value and those who contribute little or nothing survive.
We will see, but I do not believe at all that the target will be exclusively those with poor performance.

I was a very high performer, and I got laid off. They're getting rid of up to 20% of all technology FTEs, regardless of performance. I know of one person who was offered an IC role in a pay cut to stay, but that was really a slap in the face.

Mostly seeing poor performers cut, but do know of some strong performers that were on heritage apps. Just in the wrong job.

Since you brought it up, tell us to whom you are praying, and provide a verbatim transcript of your prayer.

To anyone that lost their job this week...I am very sorry this happened to you.

We are all in debt to your contribution to the TMUS USA story. I will pray for you and your families, that this will be a transition from one closing door to another opening door.

May your best days be ahead of you!

Joke is on Ulf and T-Mobile, I laid THEM off first. Don’t put up with this sh-t, they don’t deserve you. Get out on your terms.

Toxic culture in company led many who were licking get promoted whereas most who did hardwork at most got PEAK kind awards. Company change in strategy will slow down growth and innovation in future, unless they try to rehire talented pool by taking rid of L7 and above who are not doing much for years

I was severed and was a good employee with long term experience but was forced out of the Digital/ETS transition by LS leadership. Probably for the best - it has made me so angry to see the company change so much.

I was a PEAK winner and was severed…I know of many other PEAK and WC achievers let go, so don’t let them say it’s only low performers they are pruning. It has to do with payroll expense reduction and profit. None of the SLT is making less though to do their part…lol

They will always attack the top performers first. They want the people who are making the most, gone and they want those seats filled w/ people who make 30% less
