I feel like I'm wasting my time here. I wonder if DXC was at least a good stepping stone for most people here?

No pay increases ever as well. I am glad I retired and got away from this sh-t hole company
dont even show DXC on my CV/resume anymore - just elongate my time at the predecessor company that went into becoming DXC - dont want the collateral brand damage associated with working for DXC
All the acquisition were waste of time. we are now in the process of dismantling them and selling for scraps.
If you define a "stepping stone" as a "good, solid punch in the face with a brick", then yes, DXC was a good stepping stone.
When UXC Eclipse was sold out to DXC (then CSC), it was simple a solid punch to the face with a brick, followed by a solid kick in the nuts six months later.
