I don't get how you can be happy about others losing their jobs

ICE getting cut means the Model E folks who can't engineer or design themselves out of a paper bag will not have a job either. You can sell subscriptions which no one wants.

Why are people so gleeful about others losing their jobs? Why does that bring you such satisfaction? No, people who will be cut are not incompetent as you convince yourself to not feel guilty for wishing they lose their jobs. They're in the same position you are in, and instead of pointing your anger toward the management that put us all in this position, you are gleeful over something like this. Truly shameful.

Exactly. If Ford actually kept people based on merit instead of doing the high school cliche and friends and family routine then they would be a profitable well run company that produced quality affordable safe vehicles. Not a struggling hot mess.

We recently spent a few weeks in Florida visiting family in The Villages Florida. Our family members were telling us how some entitled mean-spirited residents were sowing discontent by pitting neighbors against each other, inserting themselves onto planning committees and then excluding people that they couldn’t manipulate from social events, etc. In chatting with the entitled residents we learned that they were Ford “leadership” retirees. Quality people with life long suspect behavior patterns that Ford rewarded.

@1nvl+1lX1aZIv You spoke like a narrow minded, don't-see-beyond-your-own-nose, sociopathic individual. I am guessing that you are what passes as "manager material" at Ford. Now that you let us know your true feelings, let me wish you in return the same you wish unto others, but tenfold, hoping the bumps in life will soften your heart.

BTW, if the company actually targeted useless, incompetent personnel, we wouldn't have so many managers and deadwoods. The main issue at Ford is nobody, not even managers, know exactly who stays and who goes in the next round of layoffs. As one manager told me, his boss told him he was "safe". When I congratulated him, he told me that if his boss wanted to get rid of him, would ALSO said the same thing. So while he is a little more hopeful, he is still afraid of being let go. Crazy, isn't it?

This is not about Karma... Ford is a business and I'm sorry, but layoffs and readjusting staff, plants, supply chain are part of it. Ford does not exist to provide a life long career for you! It's about being the best and yes... bloated staff drains the bottom line. So again, I want to see downsizing in mass! Ford needs to survive and it will long after your gone... haha. You old career crinkled tart!

In 2019 some of our team gleefully celebrated when all of our technical experts were let go, it eliminated their competition.
In 2019 some of our team gleefully celebrated as they were then promoted to tech spec positions. Then when they were expected to actually do work and know something they instead first blamed their predecessors, when those excuses wore thin they began to blame their teammates.
In 2022 the teammates they blamed were let go (while the tech spec celebrated and some were promoted yet again) and now they are blaming other teammates. It is a challenge to stay out of their crosshairs.

Not gonna lie I would be most gleeful if the know-nothing tech spec slinging all the mud were let go (along with their kiss up dogpilers). Also would be gleeful if the LL6, LL5, LL4 and LL3 who are knowingly allowing this to happen were let go. The id10ts should have kept the original technical experts and fired all the lazy blowhards back in 2019. It has been a sh1tsh0w ever since 2019. I fully expect the entire area to be outsourced as we are talent bare and blowhard rich at present.

Anyone who is gleeful about anyone losing a job has some serious bad karma coming their way. I've been fortunate enough to have seen it in all it's glory a few times.

Don't celebrate the misfortune of others. It means you're a cr-ppier person that we already think you are.

Where is gleeful in that message? The same Model E folks who waste no time in pointing out Ford Blue is history, need different talent etc are the ones who refuse to acknowledge Model E is being kept alive by Ford Blue. Same Model E folks how have no problem seeing colleagues in Ford Blue being let go. Cry me a river.
