Our last day was Friday, around 50 people were impacted. I was with the company 24 years and have worked with amazing, dedicated people. It has been hard, training people to do your job, watching everything you built go to @#$, but what can you do? I could have left but wanted my severance and really loved my job, so it was my choice. It is hard to say goodbye but on to better things.

Wishing you well, but with your positive attitude I'm sure you'll be just fine and you'll have a wonderful path in front of you. Enjoy the now, and look forward to the next. Take care.
It was all about the shareholders and cheap labor. Pretty bad you had to train the person who was taking your job because if you did not, no severance and it is taxed b4 you get it. Hopefully severance will last until you find a new job. You were in good hands, not so much. Good luck.
And what did this Jacksonville team do?
Welcome to my world - for all of the complaining on this site, I for one really miss Allstate. Steady paycheck and really good people. What you are going to find out if you stay in insurance, most companies suck
Thanks for the kind words. I am fortunate and don't take it for granted, I wish you well
Good luck with your new journey! It is really hard to see the big A let go of good long term employees, whether you are part of the group leaving or the group staying. You are fortunate to receive severance as it seems A is trying to avoid that as much as possible.
