I've seen everything from 500 to 1,700.

I was laid off this week, and I’m in P&C. It wasn’t just ECIO.
I'm sorry but you aren't correct. There were other departments affected this time around. Lots of reports out there about it....
No, this round pertains to ECIO. Not other CoSA. Amala was brought in to cut ECIO. The entire USAA is extremely inefficient. They frequently show the efficiency numbers and it is warped because USAA is so poorly run. There will be more cuts on the ECIO side.P&C lost almost $2B. Do you think any company or subsidiary can sustain that kind of loss and not be trimming?
It was 475 FTEs. The comment about office space was about leaving the downtown buildings.
EMG keep referring to the number printed in the news, I have a good feeling they're lying (source: because they're USAA EMG) and the number is larger (which they won't tell the employees).
This round already included those other areas. But I am concerned that two separate articles I read talked about exiting office space.
You can bet that there will be more rounds of layoffs to hit other CoSA. P&C is next. Even Amala's townhall said this that other lines of business will be up for reviews for cuts.
I think reporting 475 to the news is strategic, at 500+ USAA would have to submit a WARN notice to the state as to notify of mass layoffs. Of course, the news mentions nothing about the 1,000+ contractors.
They told the news 475 employees. Not sure on contractors.
475 FTE, over 1000 third party
I assume 500 is too low, but 1,700 also seems as too high, at least to me.
