I was also laid off after many years of working there. Employees have no voice in anything that goes on there and Every year we all worried about being Laid off since it was a yearly thing at Nextgen. It was honestly the worst employment years of my life and I've been working for over 30 years. Honestly the Communication in Nextgen is the worst I've ever experienced and the You never feel valued as an employee. You're never doing good enough, they just expect more and more yet The more you make the higher up you are on the Chopping Block. Every year they steadily increase the amt of Outsourced (Over seas) employees which is half the reason Nextgen ends up laying off so many ppl. We train these overseas staff members just for them to turnaround within 2 months and move the employee you trained to another acct ... therefore training ANOTHER Overseas staff member. it's def not the company it was 5 years ago and it's just cont on a downward spiral.

They laid several tenured employees off earlier this year and used performance review to avoid paying severance. Old Cerner leaders are shady and they will feel it soon.

They don't care - if you make the highest amount then you're gone. A few years back I was specifically told "I was instructed to save money." by the guy who let me got. 15+ years of seniority. Wish them the best - I ended up somewhere I enjoy.
