Thread regarding State Farm Insurance layoffs

Retaining talent

Another colleague of mine who did excellent work has resigned. It is so discouraging.

This company is definitely failing to retain talent and I wonder what needs to be changed so that the best people don't leave?

It seems that everyone is fed up with this place and the only people not thinking about leaving are those who have no other option.

State Farm leadership is mirror image of the leadership in our country today. Sad times to be an American and sad times to say I am employed by State Farm. Both are failing miserably in their mission and vision. Thank you colleges for producing nonsense with ZERO common sense.

Another total loser crying and wishing they were someone else. It is your sorry life-you created it. And what a hypocrite-calling someone names while blaming them for calling names. Not even smart enough to distinguish.

@2bvw. Typical elite. Truth hurts so best thing to do is shout down and name call when faced with the truth and facts. Reads too much SPLC crapaganda.

It has zero to do with work ethic. The TMs are given X to give out in their "confidential" backroom meetings while colluding about who they "like" and preach inclusion. Politics = Poly/many + tics/blood suckers. None of them give a fiddlers eff about the what they should.

So many old timers milking the pension while doing no work. Eliminate the pension and start tracking the work of anyone over 50. Lot of entitled lazy people

Of course he said all those glowing remarks about himself! LOL. He also said he scored a hundred points in Basketball game and shot a 36 on a par 72. Of course we are going to believe his fantasy life.

This company scr*ws good workers. My friend said he got good rating numbers in every catagory w/ great complements from his boss. Then he still got a very low raise, and an over all 'average' review. He said, "hold it", that doesn't make any sense. You just said I was above and beyond, customers are happy with me, you give me great ratings, to then give me an average over all rating?? They will do anything to hold on to their money and not give it to you after you actually achieve all the goals they told to achieve. You sweat it out and they give you pennies. I'm surprised anyone stays anymore.

SF will never change. They have played their compensation card too long and the younger employees are wiser than the gullable kool aid drinking employees of the past. They still think they will get those employees who they can have power and control over only to pull the carpet out from them when they get to a livable wage. This is how they control expenses for their MIP bonuses and executive salaries. IMO it's stealing to be the high and mighty. Today things have changed and more workers are willing to question their salary policies. This makes it more difficult for them to hide behind their policies and forces them to be more transparent. Ask questions! If they refuse to answer, it speaks volumes.

We get out of training, they told us how valuable we are to them and that we would get a raise after 90 days only to have our mgr say it's conditional on meeting perfect metrics. Um, nope. I'm about to walk.

The communications amd paths for real feedback and info is a disgrace. Execs know nothing other than their d-mb reports and fake shady data graphs and narrative they are tube. They can’t even do a PowerPoint presentation but think they are influencers and spies. What joke show and act. The same directors and execs and management- all a pool of tools that literally know nothing but to act

HR snd IT stated this joke show. And literally tore SF up. Customers see it. Policyholders see it.

They think your stupid. It’s a cult at the top. $$

On the call earlier executives were celebrating how we’re retaining talent. Don’t expect any change.

So management never complains? Yeah right. See if they aren't meeting their metrics and see if they don't complain? Some of the biggest whiners in the company are in leadership just to shut them up. It's all about power over you. It's OK for me, but not for thee.

Did you ever notice how people with talent always seem to just get lucky and move on to better jobs, more money, better looking spouses, etc? It’s weird.

State Farm is living in the land of plunder. What do you expect unless you drink the kool aid and live in their halucinacions.

It is extremely demoralizing to consistently have the best metrics on your team and only hear from your supervisor when you do something wrong. There are penalties for NOT meeting your metrics but there is ZERO incentive to be better than mediocre.
