This is like a subreddit. I think if you don't like what you're reading - then dont read it.

We don't like DEI at Ford, and you disagree or you are a DEI person - then that's your problem. This is our site. You should find your own site - it can be separate and equal if you know what I mean.

@2bme+1lQlIGAj gets it. Most of us here get it. You seem to be the only one who doesn't. You can show yourself to the door.

I think you're afraid to elaborate...

You should own your feelings and be proud of who you are as a person.

This is a safe space : )

@2bme+1lQlIGAj

That's the one : )

If you're the originator of that comment - please elaborate.

I've asked directly before and you (or whoever posts it) never replies. I assume they either don't see the request or that they don't answer because they feel it would possibly be perceived as the R word (r@cist).

So please - elaborate : )

I suspect that this conversation will be deleted.

Saying 'truth hurts' suggests that your comment about No DEI during work hours is the 'truth'. If that's not what you meant, please elaborate. But I think that's part of the reason why companies are bringing DEI into focus. There are a lot of groups who feel sidelined or excluded.

I think that the DEI sessions are a good thing. And I dont know if any were technically required, were they? Maybe there was one and it was tied to EEO.

Anyway. Im not looking to argue with anyone about this. I wont reply to any more. I agree that everyone is entitled to their own opinion. And for the most part, people conversing about it here should be fine. But when people start specifically arguing against DEI things, they tend to get deleted. (Examples include posts where people disagree with tr@ns people, or didn't like the women's month factoids, or bl@ck history month stuff, etc.).

To previous poster, not true. All mine said is that forcing us to attend DEI while paying is should be illegal. And it got deleted.

Truth hurts.

I find it interesting that you assume it's a guy that posts that comment.

The comments that I've seen that end up getting deleted are usually directly oppositional to anything related to DEI. There's one guy on the forum that almost always replies with a comment about 'all races have existed for the same amount of time - that's all the equal opportunity that should exist'. Or something like that. I'm paraphrasing.

But it is pretty clear that many commenters here outright disagree with Ford's DEI initiatives.

I think it would not be a problem if they just commented that they disagree or that the requirements interfere with their ability to do their job (time requirements etc.). But the posts that always get deleted usually voice specific opions that are in opposition to the DEI initiative being discussed - and usually include stuff that the people DEI is intended to protect would find offensive or hurtful.

@2vyi+1lQlIGAj I didn't see any toxic or angry response. It is just that if your comment is not the most abject adoration of the DEI postulates is marked down for the powers to be.

To the censors of this site, since they cannot be called "moderators" anymore, you can delete it, but you cannot hide how people think forever. Eppur si muove!

I think that certain topics end up setting people off - and end up generating a lot of angry responses.

I notice that the DEI topics really upsets some of the people who post on this site. It becomes problematic when the comments / responses become hateful or toxic...
