Thread regarding Follett layoffs

Regional Managers!

NOW we know that the Regional Managers were involved in the decision making. It’s why they had to sign an NDA and were at the home office all week. Give your Regional a thumbs up for a good job. 🖕

The next step is for 25-40% of the regional managers to be eliminated. GVPs next??? So long SZ - you d-mb c*nt!

Eff this place and its leaders. I hope they lose every account and go broke. Business is business…but they could have treated us better before giving us the boot. So disrespectful.

My RM told me they had input. In my region, the favorites were promoted. Talk about nepotism. Not surprised, same people had title changes when the RM took over, to give them more money. I hope she gets fired too.

Zoom layoffs are the norm nowadays. I respect you wanting your privacy but, it’s just not how it works anymore.

I am just as pi---d off on how they did this. The group zoom meeting where we were given the news while being able to see everyone else on the call. No confidentiality in employment status or decisions. What happens with our employment should not have been shared with everyone else on those calls

Having input on who is ready for promotion is possible, would likely be done under the guise of succession planning which is a normal occurrence.

I believe RM’s were asked who they thought were ready to be promoted from the position that they were in. They may or may not have known the reasons behind the ask, but I’m sure it helped with GVP and/or OTC’s decision making. If they weren’t ready for a promotion, then they either stayed the same, were demoted, or eliminated based on their restructuring.

Being good at your job is no longer good enough. It seems you have to be exceptional 🙄 or on some progressive career path for them to want to try to keep you around.

From comments made they knew in Chicago and they had input on who got slotted into some positions. I've given my RM an earfull and the comments lead me to believe what is said except them losing their jobs but maybe.

There’s no way regionals have their fingerprints on this, too much risk for discrimination and lack of consistency.

It is possible they saw the lists beforehand but there would be no sense giving them decision-making ability on this.

How do we know the RMs were involved? I didn’t make a point to get all buddy buddy with my region so I don’t get any inside info.
