Scheduling and planning is an absolute nightmare. They went from a system in SAP to a new system in Maximo that added a middleman to take the place of an automated system. What a complete waste of man power and time! There is nothing like telling somebody what you want on your schedule so they could schedule you to do it. Senior leadership has no clue as long as money keeps flowing they could care less. Get rid of scheduling and planning.

This poster sounds like a lazy unionized employee.
Cheer up buttercup your job will most likely get outsourced to a contractor and you can go work at the coffee shop down the street. I like my coffee black 1 sugar.
I dislike this post. If they get rid of scheduling and planning people will lose their jobs.
They will just hire QSP to take over since you cant handle your work.
Then why do we do so much of it it’s not cost effective?
It's clear you have no idea what Enbridge pays the outsourcers and what those folks pay their employees. It's not that much cheaper.
Systems that create effencies require investment.
My observation is that it is easier to source cheap labour. Why pay for expensive IT systems when we have billions of people willing to work remotely for below minimum wage. Our sourcing partners grift a wage off the top for the services and we pay Pennie’s on the dollar.
This is enbridge - exploiting cheap offshore labour is cost effective.
Is it moral? No.
Is it effective use of resources? No.
But it makes sounds business sense. You are under the impression that moral compass is a part of leadership thinking. It isn’t - that’s it that all.
