Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

More cost-cutting / clawback measures? What's changed with policy?

Spoke to a couple of my old colleagues getting out of the company, has there been a massive shift in policy? Apparently the clawbacks have got even worse, people leaving the company are now being told to return everything.

Not just corporate devices & assets but literally EVERYTHING: keyboards, mice, chairs and mouse mats. And we know that sh--e is just going to end up in a bin somewhere so why are they bothering?

Also that overtime restrictions are even worse. On call is barely being honored and every second of OT has to be justified / preapproved even if that's not practical. Nobody will tell me the details though, what's going on?

Well - some of the things stated here are absolute lies and rumour mongering. If the company gave you anything, you return it back if they ask. Basic decency.

I am a laptop user and was given a mouse, keyboard, chair and laptop riser. They didn't ask for anything back when I left. I just handed my laptop in at my closest office.

I hate DXC as much as the next guy but this is absolutely lies.

They DONT give out keyboards for laptop users. They also don’t give out mouse mats.

Barely anyone has a company chair and anyone who took one, due to covid it was written on the back of a f-g packet.

It would be a big help when making posts such as these if the country it's happening in was stated.

There has been recent changes to on-call payments in the UK, the policy was tweaked after it launched and I think it's broadly neutral in terms of what it pays out when compared with the previous policy.

Don't have any visibility of overtime claims, sorry.

Asking for keyboards and mouse mats back is bonkers.
