An excuse to save face…
@elp Jensen would've been an EUV early adoptee
His stated reason to start this was that while recovering from surgery he thought it was cool, so he now wants to do a start up! Even he didn't mention anything about his own expertise on the subject..just that he was an avid user!
Beyond laughable!!!
...and some id--t VC will fund this boondoggle!
It's very revealing...Raja essentially admits he feels qualified "to lead" something in which he has no expertise!
It sums up his career perhaps.
Claim credit for others' hard work when things go well...and when things go wrong..he bails out!
Good life lesson..Thanks Raja!
What did Raja do for Intel? Same as Murthy. Useless hiring in the bunch.
Yes, Intel didn't want Jensen to be CEO. Because they had geniuses like PG, BK, RJ waiting in line at Intel. And future accidental star execs like BS, the illustrious former CEO of WebVan.
I recall hearing the story during the early days of Larrabee where there was some discussions about Intel buying Nvidia, but the one condition Jensen stipulated that Intel couldn't agree to, was Jensen would be the CEO of the combined company. In retrospect, that would've been a great move, since none of the Intel CEOs since then were worth a darn, or their high compensations. Oh well, yet another missed opportunity in the story of Intel, like missing out on iPhone processor and the knock on effect of Apple funding TSMC.
Good luck competing with Nvidia software.
Their demo teams have more expertise than Intel’s lead graphics engineers.
D-mb money investors.
Did he also not notice Adobe and other big content creation giants have released AI beta software already?
He couldn't beat Nvidia with Intel's resources and budget. Now he's promising to compete with Nvidia with far less money? Which d-mb VC bought RK's story? Jensen already took Intel to the woodshed. NVDA is almost 6x the market cap of INTC now. Jensen has been CEO of NVDA since Grove was CEO of INTC. Been putting a whoopazz on Intel execs for 30 years.
I am sure he is happy to be out of the Intel loser $hitshow
