This is sad. I thought he'd be the one turning off the lights.
Unless he was asked to leave because of Falcon Lake delays and sad GPUs before, something is wrong here.

Even YouTube commenters knew he was a scam artist back when he was at AMD

He laid off good Intel people who believed in the company and bled blue. He then replaced them with his old boy network. Like Mark H. from amd, he did nothing at intel.
Bye Felicia
Don't be so hard on Raja: he was given what has been proven to be, at Intel, an impossible task. He's just one of the many that have tried and failed to make the company cough up an even remotely competitive discrete graphics product.
His excuse of _planning_ to start a new SW company doing generative AI tells exactly what kind of person he is: phony, coward, irresponsible.
Ding Do-g, the Witch is Gone!
He was a cool dude.
Poor Raja™
@bnp+1lKgS3Qf You can say a lot about Raja, but his tenure definitely wasn't cheap. Likely tens of millions in his pay, plus billions wasted on a project that failed to meet every target and milestone.
Finally.
He was a total loser, a cheap marketing at best. This was obvious from the beginning. But he was kept at intel far too long - thanks to intel enablers at finance and HR. He wasted intel’s time and money. I remember seeing his admin (he cleverly brought her from outside) buying him lunch on company Amex.
He over promoted his friends and other intel bozos. Now some of them found new lives at AMD. I hope they will do the same damage to amd as they did to intel.
Intel lost great leader. Thanks Raja for helping intel to enter dGPU market. You will be missed.
Nice.
“Destroyed so many careers”
Please explain?
Sadly, Intel could only lure Tom "TAP" Petersen from NV in 2019, but he's a technical marketing guy and not a GPU design/architect talent. But he sure was used in spinning the numerous failures of Alchemist as "virtues" or "we meant to do that."
See that’s intels problem. They should be poaching nvidia for gfx design talent and amd for cpu design talent. Not amd for gfx. I guess they couldn’t throw enough money at it to lure a few top notch nvidia people so they got stuck with the B team.
SHOCKING!
(not at all shocking)
One of the cancer is gone!! Thank God.
He wasted so much billions, nothing worthy to show for it and destroyed so many careers!
Good for Intel. Bad for wherever he goes next!
