There will be weekly monthly layoffs in small quantities to keep the stock price rising. Don’t worry with the current price of the stock. Plans are in progress to create a correlation between layoffs and stock price. You will see management slowly selling the stock as the price rises.
Who knows something else is boiling in the company?
Other insurance stocks are down much less than AIG. Chubb, Travelers, etc
Fear of a run on the bank is driving virtually all insurance and financial stocks down. At some point it becomes a buying opportunity
The entire economy’s stocks went down, especially in the financials sector. Looking deeper into the insurance sector, most insurance stocks are also down.
