I saw couple of comments here on Fidelity Ireland down sizing. As far as I know Ireland is on a hiring spree, lot of crucial projects are based there, and has an excellent reputation in Engineering excellence. Is there any Truth to these rumours.

India is a train wreck. Their rail system blows.
Oh no! I will have to accept one of the 10 offers that i had in the last week with a 15% increase. Also I will not do the work for the folks that stay on zooms calls repeating bussiness jargons.
india is a train wreck. I think half of them have another job while working remotely and only give us 40 or 50% effort.
The downside of an anonymous forum is that sometimes, people will come on here and tell lies. I believe the youth call this "trolling"
I am a US employee that works closely with Ireland. A few Irish associates have the attitude/work ethic problem another poster mentioned, and they will likely be on the chopping block once fat trimming season arrives, but Ireland is overall sufficiently productive and competent to carry technical projects long-term.
I can't say the same for India, where projects require constant babysitting and quality leaves a lot to be desired.
Fidelity will soon find itself at a crossroads regarding Dalian and US/China relations

Aw. Crying pompous green tears into my Guinness.
The most important systems are primarily built and supported by teams in Ireland. It would take years to move them out if that was ever on the cards. It would be pretty obvious well in advance of any changes that something was happening because it would take serious planning.
no truth from what I have heard
