Most likely. When you are an executive, you get the courtesy of saying that you quit, and leaving on you own terms. If you are a worker bee, your boss sends you an email wanting an update the next morning. When you log in the next morning, your boss and HR are on the line, and at the end of the call, you are perp walked out the door.
