Recieved email today about E-L Q2 2023. I did not receive the offer last year. If eligible will get follow up email Monday. My fingers are crossed. I need a break.

OP here. My leave was approved and I am looking forward to the time off. I hope to have the same manager and team when I return.
@Snowflake
Don't forget your vacation accurment will be effected, severance if based on annual salary will also be effected it it comes around too.
OP here.... this offer was for TD nonexempt and grades 3-6. I imagine Q4 2022 offer was the same for other factories. Significant paycut for me if approved. I doubt many will put their hat in the ring. I can make it work as long as I have a job somewhere. I'm severely burned out.
So in the current economy of record inflation, how do they expect employees to survive? Use savings that they’ve been burning up to cover the delta in pay vs the new normal cost of living? Sell their company stock holdings at a loss?
Management has totally lost touch with the real world if they think they’ll get a lot of takers for this.
Did you have to apply and what was the application process like? I would be interested in Q3-Q4 but I don't think they will let me.
They would get more uptake to offer 6 months off on half pay than 3 months of zero pay
Need more fabs though, yikes!
Lesser evil to do nothing than churn out cr-p
Oregonlive reported on Feb 22nd: "Intel is offering thousands of manufacturing employees three months of unpaid leave"
